Workshop on Digital Comparison Tools in Europe

Digital Comparison Tools (DCTs) have been gaining importance in digital markets in Europe and beyond. Next to CMA, the Bundeskartellamt have commenced their inquiry into DCTs. Other Member States have either looked at DCTs’ role in specific sectors (e.g. vehicle insurance) or may likely do so in the near future.

However, the role of DCTs in the European Digital Single Market, their actual influence on consumers and impact on the economy are rarely discussed holistically. Together with CEPS – Centre for European Policy Studies – we are going to do exactly that. We are organizing a workshop in Brussels on

26th April 2018

10am to 3.30pm

The workshop intends to gather key members of the Commission, European Parliament and national competition authorities alongside stakeholders from leading DCTs and consumer watchdog organisations with a view to exploring the issues raised in the public debate. Furthermore, the workshop aims to discuss potential solutions.

The workshop is free of charge, but places are limited. Please use the registration form to register for the workshop.

We look forward to discuss with experts in the audience as well as on the podium. For your networking and personal exchange of thoughts, we have organized plenty of networking time during lunch and after the event.

You can download the agenda with confirmed speakers here.
